Author Guidelines

GUIDELINES FOR AUTHORS

1. GENERAL SUBMISSION REQUIREMENTS

  • Type of Submissions: The journal accepts both Original Research Articles and Review Articles.
  • Language: Manuscripts must be submitted in English or the designated language of the journal.
  • Format: All manuscripts must follow the IMRaD (Introduction, Methods, Results, and Discussion) structure and the APA (American Psychological Association) referencing style.
  • Word Limit: The word limit for Original Research Articles is typically 4,000–8,000 words (including references, tables, and figures). For Review Articles, the limit is 6,000–12,000 words.
  • Font and Spacing: The manuscript should be typed in Times New Roman, size 12, with 1.5 line spacing. Margins should be set to 1 inch (2.54 cm) on all sides.
  • File Format: Submissions must be in Microsoft Word (.doc or .docx) format. PDF submissions are not accepted.
  • Submission Process: Authors must submit their manuscript through the journal's submission portal, providing all necessary information, including the corresponding author's contact details.

2. MANUSCRIPT STRUCTURE

a. Title Page

  • The title of the manuscript should be concise, clear, and reflective of the content (maximum 14 words in capital letters).
  • Author(s) names should be listed without titles. For multi-author papers, the corresponding author must be clearly indicated, along with their email address.
  • The names of the authors affiliation(s) should be listed.

b. Abstract

  • Provide an abstract of 150–250 words summarizing the research or review, including:
    • For Original Research: A brief description of the research problem, methodology, key results, and conclusion.
    • For Review Articles: A summary of the primary themes, scope, methodology (if applicable), and main findings or insights.
  • Use no abbreviations and avoid using references in the abstract.
  • After the abstract, provide 3–5 keywords to help index the manuscript.

c. INTRODUCTION

  • Purpose: Clearly outline the research question or objectives of the study or the purpose of the review article.
  • Background Information: Provide context, including a brief review of relevant literature, identifying gaps in current research or knowledge.
  • Rationale: Justify why this research or review is important and its potential contributions to the field.
  • Scope: For review articles, explain the scope and selection criteria for the studies included in the review.

d. METHODS

  • Study Design: Specify the type of study (e.g., experimental, observational, etc.).
  • Participants/Subjects: Describe the sample size, population, and inclusion/exclusion criteria.
  • Data Collection: Detail the instruments and procedures used to gather data, including surveys, interviews, or experimental protocols.
  • Statistical Analysis: Provide details on the analysis techniques used (e.g., regression analysis, ANOVA, etc.).

e. RESULTS

  • Present the findings in a clear and concise manner, using tables, figures, and charts where appropriate.
  • For Original Research, include data on key outcomes, statistical analysis results (e.g., p-values, confidence intervals).
  • For Review Articles, summarize the major findings or trends identified in the literature, focusing on consensus or divergent views.

f. DISCUSSION

  • Interpretation of Results: Discuss the implications of the findings in relation to existing research and theoretical frameworks.
  • Limitations: Acknowledge the limitations of the study (for Original Research) or the review methodology (for Review Articles).
  • Conclusions and Recommendations: Offer conclusions, practical implications, or suggestions for future research.

g. CONCLUSION

  • For Original Research: Provide a concise summary of the study’s findings and their significance.
  • For Review Articles: Summarize the main insights drawn from the reviewed literature and their potential impact on the field.

3. REFERENCES AND CITATION STYLE (APA STYLE)

In-Text Citations

  • Citations should be in APA format. For example:
    • Single Author: (Smith, 2020)
    • Two Authors: (Smith & Johnson, 2020)
    • Three or More Authors: (Smith et al., 2020)
  • When citing specific pages, include the page number(s): (Smith, 2020, p. 35).

Reference List

  • The reference list should be presented at the end of the manuscript, starting on a new page.
  • References should be alphabetically ordered by the authors' last names.
  • The reference entries should follow this format:
    • Books: Author, A. A. (Year). Title of work: Capital letter also for subtitle. Publisher.
    • Book Chapters: Author, A. A. (Year). Title of chapter. In E. E. Editor (Ed.), Title of book (pp. pages). Publisher.
    • Journal Articles: Author, A. A. (Year). Title of article (plain). Journal Name (italicized), vol(page numbers in plain).
    • Online Sources: Author, A. A. (Year). Title of webpage. Website Name. URL

4. TABLES AND FIGURES

  • Tables: All tables should be numbered consecutively (e.g., Table 1, Table 2) and referred to within the text. Each table should have a descriptive title placed above it.
  • Figures: Figures (graphs, charts, and images) should be numbered consecutively (e.g., Figure 1, Figure 2) and referred to within the text. The title should be placed below the figure.
  • Ensure that tables and figures are clear, legible, and relevant to the content of the manuscript.

Submission Preparation Checklist

All submissions must meet the following requirements.

  • The submission has not been previously published, nor is it before another journal for consideration (or an explanation has been provided in Comments to the Editor).
  • The submission file is in OpenOffice, Microsoft Word, or RTF document file format.
  • Where available, URLs for the references have been provided.
  • The text is single-spaced; uses a 12-point font; employs italics, rather than underlining (except with URL addresses); and all illustrations, figures, and tables are placed within the text at the appropriate points, rather than at the end.
  • The text adheres to the stylistic and bibliographic requirements outlined in the Author Guidelines.
